Do good first. Put people before profit.

At 6YS, sustainability is the way we manage and operate our business. To us that means that people should always come ahead of profit. After all, without people there is no use for technology.

We always strive to make a positive impact on everyone we work with. Which means being a good citizen of our community but also of the world. Being a good citizen means doing the right thing by people. Whether it is our employees, partners, customers or even their customers.

And doing the right thing by people means more than just who we hire, but how we act, who we help and what we do to help those from whom we expect nothing in return. It means being a good citizen of our local community but also of the world and reflects what we put into practice for employees, the community, shareholders and the environment, now and into the future.

We know diversity enriches our world

We actively seek opportunities to bring people of different backgrounds and thinking together. Every human interaction is a learning experience that creates a richer environment - one that is greater than the sum of its parts. And, that diversity of thought drives us to deliver more for people.

This richness of cultures & backgrounds is the fabric of what makes Queensland and Australia a great place to live. It celebrates our past and prepares us for the future. We know that the more we bring people together, the more we realise how similar we are. And, that enables us all to work together to make the world a better place for everyone.

We say no to domestic violence

6YS is committed to heightening the awareness of domestic violence and providing guidance for employees and management to address the occurrence of domestic violence and its effects on the workplace. 6YS has zero tolerance to domestic violence and a total non-acceptance of staff being involved with domestic violence.

6YS actively makes assistance available to all employees and contractors involved in domestic violence. We apply every effort to assist our employees and contractors through special considerations both at the workplace and personally.

We act local

We work to support local talent first and foremost. We seek the opportunity to bring people of different backgrounds and thinking together at every opportunity. Be they our employees, our partners, customers, and their customers.

We believe that every interaction is a learning experience that creates a richer environment - one that is greater than the sum of its parts. And, that diversity of thought drives us to deliver more for people.

This richness of cultures & backgrounds is the fabric of what makes Queensland and Australia a great place to live. It celebrates our past and recognises the richness of our future. We aim to make a positive difference to those who need help through working with indigenous mentoring, promoting women in leadership and having a female indigenous member of our board. We also aim to where possible employ first time job seekers and/or people from minorities or disadvantaged backgrounds.

We help those in need

We support people and the community in times of need. One of the biggest differences we can make is helping other when we expect little in return. We consider this our duty as good corporate citizens but also as good people.

We strongly focus on youth and indigenous issues in our local and broader community by providing employment and training opportunities as well as working with community groups to support their own efforts. 6YS also support community groups through the provision of low or no-cost IT support as well as donations and staff time.
